ANZTAA Free Webinar - Saturday 10th February 8.00am-9.30am NZT - Tatjana Gjurkovic

FREE ANZTAA WEBINAR Saturday 10th February 8am-9.30am

Tatjana Gjurkovic TSTA(P) "How working with children informs my work with Adults":

This webinar explores how experiences with children aged 1 to 12 inform therapeutic work with adults. It delves into the idea that an adult's emotional age might differ significantly from their chronological age due to past influences. The speaker uses empathy to explore these aspects, encouraging clients to connect with their younger selves and offering nurturing support through e.g. visualization techniques. It will also offer how we can think of using play mediums and symbols akin to a child's language, to access unprocessed experiences.

Drawing from Pam Levine’s Circles of Development, this webinar merges childhood development insights into adult psychotherapy, emphasizing empathy, non-verbal communication, and playful approaches to promote healing and self-awareness.

Tatjana Gjurkovic (Croatia) is a psychologist, CTA-P, TSTA-P, and registered play therapist-supervisor (RPT-S). She is the author of the book "Play Therapy: How to Develop Skills to Understand the Child and Deepen the Relationship with him", co-author of numerous therapeutic picture books for children, and co-author of the article "Treatment Stages in Working with Children: An Approach Rooted in Transactional Analysis and Play Therapy ” published in the Transactional Analysis Journal (TAJ).

Her narrow specialty is connecting verbal and expressive therapy through the present moment. In her work, special attention is paid to the development of relationships with the client, supervisor, and educator, inviting them to co-create the opportunity for growth, development, and learning.

Saturday 9th September 9.00am - 10.30am NZ Time

In this brief workshop John will join us from California to present the theory of Injunctions as created by Bob and Mary Goulding in the 1970’s, and the evolution of that theory since then.  From its inception this material has grown from fifteen identified Injunctions to twenty-five Injunctive Messages.  There are five categories: Survival, Attachment, Identity, Competence and Security.  How to diagnose Injunctive Messages will be presented as well as how to resolve them effectively.

This is a rare opportunity to see and hear one of the original master practitioners of Transactional Analysis - who has for many years been working to improve the scope and potency of Redecision Therapy.
